I run the online side of Bedrock Countertops: this website, the quote form and the advertising. If a guide on this site tells you what quartz costs in Calgary or how to check a seam, I am the person responsible for it being right.
What That Does, And Does Not, Qualify Me To Tell You
I do not fabricate stone and I do not install it. I have never cut a slab in my life. The people who do that here have been doing it for twenty-five years, and this business has over a hundred finished kitchens behind it.
So when a guide on this site describes what happens on install day, or why a mitre joint opens up, that is not me writing from experience. It is me writing down what the people who do the work told me, and then checking it against jobs they have actually finished.
What I do have is the part most countertop websites will not show you: the shop's real price data and its real completed jobs. Every dollar figure on this site is read from one file that the whole site shares, so the price on a guide and the price on the price page are the same number by construction and cannot quietly drift apart.
That is the whole of my authority here. It is narrower than the usual "industry expert" line on a page like this, and saying so is the point.
I am not the person who runs the shop
Bedrock Countertops is not my company. It is owned and run by my family, and the day-to-day of the business - your job, your schedule, your install - is managed by someone else. If you are a customer with a live job, the phone number on this site reaches the people who can actually help, and that is not me.
I am named here because someone should be. A guide that tells you how to spend eight thousand dollars ought to say who wrote it.
The Rules I Hold This Content To
No invented numbers. Every price range on this site comes from one shared data file, and the build fails if a page ever prints a figure that disagrees with it. There is no page where I can type a number by hand.
A claim I cannot source does not get published. Where other Calgary companies publish their own installed prices, our guides say so and cite them. Where they do not, the range is labelled as ours alone rather than dressed up as a market rate.
No aggregate review score. This site does not publish a star rating, because we have too few reviews for one to mean anything. Inflating that number is trivial and we are not doing it.
The guides are written to be useful even if you hire someone else. The one on choosing a countertop company is a list of questions to put to every fabricator you speak to, this one included.
